We have two massive updates to Avarni's carbon accounting platform to start 2025 strong!

  1. Save at least 80% of your time on calculations with Methods
  2. Track supplier targets and commitments with SBTi Targets
  3. Enjoy faster workflows with performance updates across the platform

Methods

Methods is now in beta and ready to begin using for your data uploads. It offers unprecedented flexibility for data uploads – here are just some of the many use cases:

  • Standardise the ingestion of frequently uploaded activity data sources, without going through the Import Wizard each time
  • Map two different EF (emission factor) databases onto the same upload based on region (eg. EPA for US, BEIS for UK)
  • Exclude categories of spend for which you have more accurate activity data automatically, such as flights or fuel purchases

Methods cuts the time spent on even the most basic uploads by at least 80%, and far more than that for complex uploads that previously weren't even possible.

There are 5 template Methods ready for you to try now.

SBTi Targets

SBTi Targets is also in beta, allowing you to track suppliers that have disclosed with the SBTi Initiative right in Avarni, alongside details of all targets & commitments.

Data is updated every Friday at the same frequency as on the SBTi website, so you will always have the latest targets available.

Ongoing performance upgrades

Finally, we are continuing to optimise Avarni to ensure that even with large amounts of data, it stays fast. This is an ongoing effort, but you will notice better performance throughout the platform today. If there are any areas of the platform where you’d like to see improved performance, please let us know.
